Interview with Jennifer Hubbs of Season 2, Episode 6 of Catfish

Jennifer HubbsJennifer appeared in Season 2, Episode 6 of Catfish (Jenn and Skylar) and immediately became a fan favorite. We love following her on Twitter (@jennyfurhh) and want to thank her for taking the time to answer and give us some insight into her life after "Catfish."

1. In general, how was your experience appearing on Catfish?

A. Even though the general idea was to meet Bryan for who he was, I try to look past that and focus on the overall experience I had which was finding myself and my self worth. I believe that I have attained that through just being around Nev, Max, and the crew. It was just a new group of people to be around and realize that I really was worth something more than my small town bullied life. (Bad way to word the end)

2. If you had it to do over, would you still appear on the show?

A. I don't know. Maybe. ALL of it has been such an impact that I'm okay with having to have gone through that because hey - we all have lessons we need to learn in life. Maybe I didn't need to do it publicly, but it sure helped having the guys around :-)

3. How has your life been impacted or changed by the show? (positively or negatively)

A. Well, besides having been recognized on every inch of my college campus, I have enjoyed meeting so many people just from their interest in it. I obviously don't consider myself to be a "celeb" or "known" but I just am able to have a conversation piece if things get awkward, ya know? I'm so blessed to have made the friends I made that maybe wouldn't have come without their original starstruck-ness kind of thing. The only negative impact is negative feedback which is FAR outweighed by positive feedback.

4. What's new in your life since the show or what are you doing now?

A. Well, I finished my freshman year at Iowa State University. I have a boyfriend who I am extremely happy with. I'm now looking for jobs for the summer and already ready to move back to Ames into my apartment with my best friends!

Jennifer Hubbs5. What tips or warnings do you have for others in online relationships?

A. Just be careful. Be smart about things. Yeah, I can empathize with those who are already in the online relationships for not knowing how to go about figuring things out but just watch for the warning signs that you learn on catfish....but also don't take each and every event that you might see on catfish and think it's happening in your relationship because I have gotten so many cute messages of how people have met their significant other and they've been real and they've gotten married and whatnot! ** Meet the person in public and maybe even bring a friend along **

6. Is there anything else you'd like to tell your Catfish fans?

A. I just want everyone out there to know that I appreciate the countless messages of positive support. I love you guys!
